For the third year running, The DaVinci Group, the parent company of the Vanguard Dynamics brand, has been voted as a winner of the prestigious Quest for Quality Award from CE Pro magazine. This year, we were recognized with a special “Kudos Award” in the Dealer Programs / Incentives category. Unlike other awards, the CE Pro Quest for Quality Awards are determined exclusively by CE Pro readers — a manufacturer cannot enter without being nominated by a reader, and winners are chosen based solely on the number of readers’ votes.
Quest for Quality Awards Reflect Popular Opinion
More than 7,200 CE Pro readers and AV industry members, including dealers and distributors, completed the 2016 Quest for Quality Survey. After the nominees are determined based on the survey, readers vote for their favorite manufacturers and distributors in 13 different categories, based on the customer service and support aspects of a business – rather than specific products.
With winners determined entirely by reader votes, CE Pro then awards Platinum, Gold, Silver and “Kudos” awards to the top companies in each category. The Kudos award is designed to properly recognize mainstream custom integration brands that might otherwise be overtaken by the global powerhouse brands with nominations in multiple categories. CE Pro addresses this situation by analyzing the voting levels and finding brands that received substantially more than their expected share of the votes and recognizes these exemplary companies with a coveted “Kudos” Award.
What the CE Pro Quest for Quality Kudos Award Means to Vanguard Dynamics
We at Vanguard Dynamics couldn’t be more pleased with this honor. To know that a large percentage of our dealers and integrators recognize our customer service, dealer programs and incentives—along with the quality of our speaker lines—means we are achieving our objective of supporting our dealers and making Vanguard Dynamics products an easy choice for today’s custom integration projects.
After all, it’s one thing (and certainly an honor!) to win an award for a new product. But to win an award recognizing our service to our dealers—three years running—reflects our commitment to the industry and the ideals we strive to achieve.
Chosen, Not Bought
It’s important to note that, unlike many product awards—in which nominations are purchased with advertising dollars as part of the contest process—the Quest for Quality Awards are the only AV industry award where nominations come entirely from the AV community and the dealers who are familiar with their brands.
It’s also worth noting that some companies put marketing dollars toward promotional campaigns to garner nominations and votes for these prestigious awards. We at Vanguard Dynamics do not play that game. With this in mind, to say we are heartened and flattered by this unsolicited response from our dealers is an understatement.
